Yagami Yato, a YouTuber, has come out against accusations that she provided sexually explicit material for children and groomed minors.
Yagami Yato, a voice artist, produces voiceovers for animated videos. Usually these are from anime. Her YouTube channel has more than 800,000 subscribers.
Her work is NSFW (not safe to work), and has led to controversy over accusations that she promoted obscene material for children.
Her Patreon account is more for explicit adult work, while her YouTube Channel is intended for content appropriate for all ages.
An anonymous Twitter account, Yagami Yato Confessions, claimed that Yato groomed them as teenagers when they joined her Discord server.
They claimed Yato had used minors as moderators
According to the account, Yagami was accused of making explicit sexual comments about them and having ignored their warnings that she should not market NSFW material for minors.
Yagami was also accused of sending them explicit audios via her Patreon account. They claimed she also started to ignore them after they turned 18
Yagami Yato has shut down social media platforms
Yagami Yato decided to remove or lock down all her social media accounts after the allegations. On her YouTube channel, she also posted a long statement.
Yagami began by apologizing for everyone who was affected by the situation. She thanked her fans for sticking by her and said, “I appreciate all of you and thank you so much for your support and time.”
Although she admitted to making mistakes in the past she denied grooming allegations: “While I unintentionally committed transgressions in my past, these accusations are absolutely, unequivocally false.”
She added, “I have never tried to get anything from my fans or pursued a relationship of love or intimacy.”
She stressed that she was an “influencer” and will have to be more careful about how she interacts with her fans. She wrote, “I will be more aware of my actions going forward to further prevent incidents like this,”
Yagami Yato also stated that her NSFW content will be kept behind her Patreon account. It has sufficient safeguards. She stated that she will ensure that no explicit material is uploaded to her YouTube channel.

Since the initial allegations, there has been backlash on Twitter against the YouTuber. One person said that they felt “quick” about the allegations. Others stated that they were happy she had apparently deactivated their accounts.
Jacksepticeye (a lesser-known YouTuber) announced recently that he would take a break social media to grieve the loss of his father.
WhistlinDiesel, a YouTuber and car guru, was taken to hospital last month after being hit in the head with a ricochet while practicing target shooting.
